Power of The Word

Your Ownly Suposd to Blow the Bludy Doors Off! Student Graphic Design Project

Project: Power Of The WordBrief: Chose two films from the list or from your own choice, pick a piece of dialogue from both films, and create one typographical piece of work for both films, representing the quote and the feel/atmosphere/emotions in that scene.
Film Chosen: The Italian Job (1969)Film Overview: Comic caper movie about a plan to steal a gold shipment from the streets of Turin by creating a traffic jam.The Italian Job Typography:The burnt wood, paint and door handle represent the blown up van in the scene.
On the center wood the typography burnt into it reads: “BLUDY DOORS OFF” – as that is the bit michael cain really shouts at, and his anger is also represented by this and the way the type is cracked.
The bigger surrounding piece of wood typography reads: “Your Ownly Suposd to blow the” – this type is partly faded as this represents the build up of michael cain’s anger.
I have also misspelt some words in the quote to emphasise michael cains accent.

The quote reads: “You’re only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!” Charlie (Michael Cain)

On The Design: “Your ownly suposd to blow the bludy doors off!” Charlie (Michael Cain)
